Our Vision

Defining Maulaiyat as a Global Idea

Maulaiyat is more than a theological construct — it is a universal framework for spiritual devotion, social harmony, and peaceful coexistence. Rooted in the declaration at Ghadir Khumm, its principles transcend boundaries of sect, culture, and geography, offering a vision of Islam that speaks to the deepest human aspirations for justice, compassion, and divine connection.

The Sufi Islamic Board envisions Maulaiyat as a doctrine of spiritual allegiance to divine love (Ishq-e-Haqiqi) — rooted in Sufi humanism, inclusivity, and service. It is a framework fully compatible with democracy, pluralism, and national harmony, offering the world a Sufi paradigm for peaceful coexistence.

Core Principles

What We Stand For

01

Sufi Humanism

Embracing the Sufi tradition of universal love, compassion, and service to humanity — placing insaniyat (humanity) and rahm (compassion) at the heart of all endeavors.

02

Inclusivity & Pluralism

Welcoming all who seek the path of divine love, regardless of sect or tradition. Maulaiyat transcends divisions, fostering unity through shared devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt.

03

Service & Justice

Following the example of Hazrat Ali — embodying justice, knowledge, and selfless service. Standing for the rights of the oppressed and the dignity of every human being.

Our Stance

A Voice Against Extremism

Maulaiyat stands as a resolute counter-narrative to violence, sectarianism, and radicalism. Where extremist ideologies divide and destroy, Maulaiyat unifies and heals — rooted in the Quranic mandate of wilayah, the love of the Prophet's household, and the compassionate example of the Sufi masters.

"Maulaiyat rejects violence in all its forms. Our path is that of insaniyat — humanity — and rahm — compassion. This is the true face of Islam."

The Sufi Islamic Board actively works to preserve Maulaiyat and Hussaiyat as the authentic, peaceful essence of Islam against divisive ideologies — publishing counter-radicalization resources and collaborating with governments, civil society, and community leaders to foster harmony.

Diplomatic Engagement

Interfaith Dialogue & Global Peace

Maulaiyat serves as a soft-power bridge between civilizations. Through engagement with international platforms, the Sufi Islamic Board brings the voice of compassionate Islam to the global discourse on peace, coexistence, and human dignity.

Our interfaith initiatives include peacebuilding workshops, counter-extremism dialogues, and cultural diplomacy events — positioning Maulaiyat as a framework that speaks not only to Muslims but to all who value spiritual depth and human solidarity.

Building a Global Sufi Network

Maulaiyat is carried forward through a living network of Sufi orders, spiritual centers, and dargahs across the world. The Sufi Islamic Board actively engages with the great tariqas — Chishti, Qadri, Naqshbandi — building alliances that transcend national borders and sectarian boundaries.

Through International Sufi Conferences on Maulaiyat and peace dialogues with interfaith leaders, we are positioning Maulaiyat as the contemporary voice of global Sufism — a tradition that has always spoken the language of love, tolerance, and the search for the Divine in every human heart.

STRATEGIC ANCHOR
Bhartiyata
+ Sufism

Anchoring Maulaiyat in India's rich Sufi heritage — positioning India as the global hub of this transformative doctrine.

Rooted in Indian Identity

India's Sufi heritage — from Ajmer Sharif to Nizamuddin Dargah — represents centuries of harmonious coexistence between faiths, cultures, and communities. This uniquely Indian model of spiritual Islam is the foundation upon which Maulaiyat builds its global vision.

The Sufi Islamic Board promotes an "Indian Sufi Model of Islam" — one that celebrates Bhartiyata (Indian-ness) alongside deep spiritual devotion. Through the Central Governing Body of Maulaiyat established at Ajmer, this vision radiates outward to the world.

India's strategic advantage is clear: as the birthplace of some of Sufism's greatest traditions, it stands as the natural global hub of Maulaiyat — bridging East and West through the universal language of divine love.

Knowledge Building

Research & Intellectual Ecosystem

The Sufi Islamic Board is committed to building a global intellectual ecosystem around Maulaiyat through the establishment of a dedicated Maulaiyat Research & Policy Centre. This initiative will produce academic journals, policy briefs, and collaborative research with leading institutions worldwide.

Our target partners include Islamic universities across the Middle East and Indonesia, Western think tanks focused on religion and peace, and Indian institutions that can anchor the unique synthesis of Bhartiyata and Sufism in rigorous academic discourse.
