Common Questions

Frequently Asked

What is Maulaiyat?

Maulaiyat is the doctrine of spiritual authority and guardianship declared by Prophet Muhammad for Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib at Ghadir Khumm in 632 CE. It represents an enduring divine covenant connecting believers to the Ahl al-Bayt.

What is the Sufi Islamic Board?

The Sufi Islamic Board is the organizational body that promotes and preserves Maulaiyat and Hussaiyat as the authentic, peaceful essence of Islam. It operates through the Central Governing Body of Maulaiyat established at Ajmer Sharif.

How can I get involved?

You can participate through our Youth Leaders Fellowship, campus chapters, volunteering at events, submitting research, or simply attending our conferences and workshops. Visit our Programs page for full details.

Is Maulaiyat specific to one sect?

No. While rooted in the historical event of Ghadir Khumm, Maulaiyat as promoted by the Sufi Islamic Board transcends sectarian boundaries. It is embraced across Sufi, Shia, and many Sunni traditions as a principle of love, devotion, and spiritual guardianship.

Will the website be available in other languages?

Yes. We are planning multilingual support including Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, and French to make Maulaiyat's message accessible to a global audience. This will be rolled out in a future phase.
